Arthur Murray Practice Parties are where dance students, new and experienced, put their instruction into practical use. These sessions are designed to emulate a night out dancing at a nightclub, a wedding reception, or an office party.
Practice Parties are a regular part of our studio calendar. They occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:15pm, immediately after the group classes. The lights are dimmed, party lights come on, and the teachers play music & announce each dance.
All of our Arthur Murray instructors are present to help answer questions or offer suggestions, which makes it a supported, but fun, learning environment.
Our Practice Parties are a big part of what creates a “social club” atmosphere in our studios. Our students love to attend them to practice what they’ve been learning and to socialize with other students. The parties give our students confidence and an opportunity to get out and dance with other people in a fun, non-intimidating setting.
